TESTIMONIALS
I have just completed the Fetac Level 6 Animal Science Course in Carlow IFE, following on from the Level 5 Animal Care course also in Carlow IFE.
Having come back to education as a mature student, I found both courses thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding as these courses are in an area I have always been interested in working in. I particularly liked this year as the course is structured more on continuous assessments such as assigments and projects, which meant less pressure when it came to the end of year exams. I liked that part of the animal science course is very hands on, such as the advanced dog grooming module and the animal housing module in which we built a housing system for our pets. This practical element gives a nice balance along with other more theory based elements such as the animal behaviour module. I feel I've come away with practical skills I can use with my own pets while obtaining a great start to my education and training in this field.
All in all, I really enjoyed my two years at Carlow IFE, we had a great mix of people in the class, the lecturers were friendly, approachable and knowledgeable, and the content itself was very interesting. I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in studying or working within the animal industry.
